Athena Scott offers a sneak peek into her studio sharing a work in progress.
Inspired and spearheaded by
Quinta Brunson, creator of the hit show
Abbott Elementary, Mural Arts has partnered with ABC & Disney Television Studios to create a
mural at the Andrew Hamilton School, where Brunson attended elementary
school.
Designed by local artist
Athena Scott, with input from Hamilton school students and staff, the mural highlights
the allegory of the school as a garden, with the tenacious educators and staff
serving as stewards of a fertile and growing student population. This mural is
set to be dedicated on May 28th.
